Yoga Korunta – the mythical script of the Astanga yoga-asana practice.

In Yoga Korunta the famous quote by Rishi Vāmana is: “vinā vinyāsayogena āsanādīn na kārayet”, विना विन्यासयोगेन आसनादीन् न कारयेत् – most often translated to “oh yogi, don’t do asana without vinyasa” which Guruji could probably explain like: without vinyasa, asana is no use!

A more precise grammatical translation looks like: “He should not cause those beginning with asana to happen without vinyasa of yoga” – meaning that the teacher should make sure that those beginning to do asana do it with the correct vinyasa of yoga.
